Paul,

I blew mine as well, so James Morehead suggested Woody Woodell in Nashville. Apparently he's the best - reconed Chet's old Standel JBL, etc. I talked to him on the phone last week. A really nice guy who's passionate about his work. I plan to send my speaker to him after Christmas. I have his number and address if you want to email me.

I am interested in this thread. I have an original JBL 15" speaker from a Standel Custon amplifier, and I am considering having it reconed. It currently sounds great when listening through a stereo system, but the cone is broken and will not carry a high volume input.

Who can refurbish this speaker?
