Jody Carver Update

Post by b0b »

Received via email from a friend of Jody Carver.
Len Mansky wrote:I visited Jody Carver this past Sunday May 10. Jody and I have been friends since our teens.

I was with my daughter, son-in-law and 23-year-old grandson who is a guitarist, drummer and vocalist. Jody obliged us by playing his Fender three-neck. When not in use he keeps it covered with blankets to protect it from temperature and humidity changes so it stays largely in tune.

My family was fascinated at the skill of this stately 91-year-old gentleman with a mane of white unruly flowing hair.

Aside from his arthritis Jody is well. Because of computer problems he has not been posting. But he misses you all, sends his love and prays for your well being and safety in these perilous times.

Jody played the PSGA show a few years back and was really entertaining, loved his use of the plastic hair comb to tease the strings, best of all to Jody!
Regards, Craig

I cried because I had no shoes, then I met a man who had no feet.

I've been trying to reach Jody. In going through my Dad's things, I found a gift he sent and the sweetest note I think I've ever read. I wanted him to know how much his friendship meant to Dad. So glad to see he is well.

Glad to hear this. I've known Jody for over 40 years and lost touch a while back. His cousin Arty usually keeps me abreast of him, but, haven't talked to Arty for a while.
Jody is a fine man and quite the musician and story teller.
