Hey gang:

Know this is a longshot, but I have an old Fender Dual pro that was refinished, so it's missing the waterslide logo and has a fretboards that are really beat up.

If anyone has these to sell--or you have a line on them, please let me know.

Happy steelin'!

I found some authentic Fender waterslides online. It was a Canadian company. Can't recall which site, but check eBay, Etsy, and amazon for theses.

Thanks!

Here's a waterslide I used on a Stringmaster.

https://www.atexxmusic.com/shop

About 3/4 down the page "CUSTOM FENDER STEEL FRONT..." When you click on it, the page will say it's for a pedal steel but it's also correct for a Stringmaster and, I believe, a Dual Pro.

Thanks

Yes, looks right for the Stringmaster and Dual Pro. Pedal steel is one thing it's definitely wrong for though.

Thanks!

.
Yeah--that's where I got mine. I wonder if it's legal (they must have a licensing deal with Fender)?

I use water decals alot and always put a coat of clear lacquer on them and trim them to size before use. Real old one's will take a long time in the water before they break loose, newer one's only need 20 to 30 seconds in water.

Do you put the lacquer on them before you put them in water? Seems like that would make it cloudy, like spraying lacquer on a humid day.

I suppose there are people who prefer to stay on the legal side of things. Heck, even Paul (the other Paul) said folks should follow the laws as written...right?

Somebody also stated that laws are made to be broken.

I am restoring an old Fender Dual 8 and I also needed the decal. I went to Etsy.com. This is a site for people that do all kinds of crafts. There are several people on there that make decals. I noodled around on there and found a guy that made fender decals, but not the size I needed. I sent him the measurement and he sent me back four decals Identical to the original. They are waterslide decals. I ordered 4 because they were cheap and it gave me some to practice with.
