Now that's an interesting project! I read the page about the problem finding ways to display fonts as they appeared in the late 1990s. So many bitmaps!

I still have a few lingering web pages that sport tables for layout, as well as sidebar frames for navigation menus.

I designed my first website using Netscape Navigator and published it via ftp, over dial-up internet, using a self-tweaked V92 modem. I tweaked it for maximum effective throughput with the fewest Blers. I kept my baudrate test page online after all these years. It still has tiny files for testing dial-up modems and actually gets hits.
