Steel guitar in new movie "Arkansas"

I just watched the recently released movie "Arkansas". There was a scene with a band with a "Sahara" steel guitar about 30 minutes into the movie. The band was The Flaming Lips". I had never heard of this type of pedal steel but I searched the forum and found many considered it a very good guitar. Nothing special about the band for my taste but they did play some old country stuff.

To the best of my knowledge, Frank Carter- builder of the Infinity, worked with the builder of the Sahara many moons ago.

I forwarded this to my friend Micah Vasquez, a forum member, his grandfather built the Sahara guitars, hopefully he will chime in.

It seems that Wally Moyers said that the Sahara was built in Lubbock. Here's that page from the forum.

In Italy:

"Who's that up there in the white robe?"

"I don't know, but the guy with him is Craig Stock."
