Hey ya'll,

So just looking for some suggestions on some peoples favorite slow songs that have great steel solos.

Sometimes they are the hardest to figure out was there is more time to morph inside the chord whereas faster stuff is less harmony a lot of times... but i'd like to put in some time studying some nice slow stuff.

Would love to hear some suggestions on what to listen to!

Wow, that was over the top Ricky! That is the reason why most of us are here. What a beautiful instrument. We owe so much to these giants who inspire us to enjoy this crazy machine.

I'm not sure the people in the audience are aware that they just heard the best there is.

Gorgeous rendition of "You Don't Have Very Far To Go" by Johnny Cox with Laney Hicks singing. Not only an E9 clinic (maybe D9?), but Johnny did it at Scotty's steel show in front of God and everybody.

Lloyd Green... "So Sad" on his Revisited CD.
Junior Brown provides the vocal, and Lloyd does an absolutely breathtaking solo...
Awesome all the way thru the tune, actually...
