Simple tunes.......great accompaniment

Often you hear steel guitarists talking about all of the xyz equipment and electronic doo-dads that they've incorporated into their playing and how great it sounds with reverb that almost causes disorientation when listening to it.

Here's a tune that I think is one of the finest steel guitar instrumentals of all time and if it's not in YOUR repetoir, then something great is surely being left out. It's a tune recorded ages ago by none other than Sonny Garrish, at the time with "The Po' Boys".........

My bestest friend David Karr is on guitar and without compromise, was one of the finest musicians I've ever had the honor of playing music with. Simple chord work greatly enhances the steel guitar as is shown here.

David passed on several years ago while living in Las Vegas after retiring from IBM in Irvine, Calif. He earlier resided in Seattle for some time and had a sister living in Medford, Oregon.

This was recorded in his sister's living room one Thanksgiving Day.....and while all the gals were in the kitchen making boistrous conversation, Dave and I sat down to pick a few. This was on my Emmons thro' a Session 400.
