Travis Toy w/ American Musical Supply
Hey guys and gals. My friends at American Musical Supply came out to one of the last gigs I played before all the craziness started, and shot a few videos with me. They’re a great company, and we had fun hanging that day. I hope you’ll check them out. Side note for anyone in the market, there’s a lot of info about my Quilter TT-12 combo in the rig video. Hope everyone is staying safe and healthy during this uncertain time. Cheers!

Hey Travis, I own a Quilter Tone Block 202, and that was totally new information to me that when in the Vintage voice mode, the bass and treble knobs become passive (which, IIRC, they were on old Fender tone stacks). That made me rethink my EQ of the amp in Vintage - previously I'd just switch between Full Q and Vintage thinking the EQ of the knobs was the same, and I was hearing strickly the difference in the two voices. WRONG! I looked in my manual for the amp and while this is hinted at (clearly says FRFR and Full Q are flat at 5), it never really spells it out. So thanks for that info! So glad you pointed that out in the video - am I the only one who was oblivious to this fairly important fact?
Pedal steel, lap steel, resonator, blues harp - why suck at just one instrument when you can do so on many?

Hey Douglas. You’re not alone. It’s actually not written out anywhere to my knowledge. A little bit of an oversight in the manual, but that is indeed what’s happening.Douglas Schuch wrote:Hey Travis, I own a Quilter Tone Block 202, and that was totally new information to me that when in the Vintage voice mode, the bass and treble knobs become passive (which, IIRC, they were on old Fender tone stacks). Hey Michael. Yes, you can buy just the cabinet and speaker without the head. If you go to Quilter’s website, and add the combo to the cart. At a certain point you get a drop down menu that allows you to remove the head from the equation.Michael McGauley wrote:Hey Travis is your speaker and cabinet available by itself? I have a Boss Katana head , wondering how that combo would work. Thanks for the informative rundown.
