For Lloyd Green (and his fans)

Hi everyone,

Unfortunately, the e-mail I have for Lloyd is an old one and I don't have a way to send this to him directly. Please share with him if you have it.

The family of Dick Curless found an amazing reel-to-reel of a Jan. 15 1966 concert with Dick, Buck Owens and Johnny Paycheck, with Lloyd Green playing prominently throughout. They have shared the audio, and I wanted to share it here.

At 4:23, there is Lloyd doing his instrumental, "Green Strings."

Cool! That's way back...when Lloyd was still lowering the high "E" on a lever. Love hearing that old live stuff from Wheeling (and from the Opry) that we used to hear every week and take for granted, moments in time and memories captured forever. I have a sign in my house that expresses what some of us feel:
Treasure the little things, for one day you will realize that they were the big things.

Very awsome indeed, what does the numbers represent on the left?

If I was to venture a guess, the tape recorder had an odometer and the start times for each song correlated to the number on the odometer.

Thanks Joe
