E6 tuning. Took a minute to get my pinky back in shape.

If I was hearing this without knowing what instrument was being played I would've guessed pedal steel. Great job!

I learned about string pulls from watching an earlier video of yours, Steve. My pinky isn't as strong as yours though, gotta use my ring finger. Thanks for another great video - always inspiring.

Thanks Bill. I tried using my ring finger, but it would always destabilize the bar. The pinky felt more natural, but took awhile to build up strength.

Great job, Steve. I use my middle finger & ring finger together for most string pulls. When I do that I have to push down on the bar slightly with my index finger to keep the bar stable.

Steve, I really like that 1 minute lesson you posted on YouTube... pulling string 2 on C6 1/2 step, minor 3rd to major 3rd. A cool sound. And if you move the bar up 3 more frets you get a nice 7th chord pull, strings 1 & 2.

Not to hijack this thread, but I have a Country string pull demo on YouTube, using a Cadd9 tuning that I devised specifically to play twang sounds on lap steel. As you can see in the video, I use fingers 2 & 3 together for most pulls. The fingers do get painful after a couple of songs though!

Martin always has some great string pulls. Must be those long fingers. I love playing along to his videos......most are a minute and a half to 2 and a half........then on to the next one........all good stuff.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vC-N4zl ... JE&index=7
Currently own, 6 Groner-tone lap steels, one 1953 Alamo Lap steel, Roland Cube, Fender Champion 40
