Nice collection. Really! My only suggestion is to wear a tuxedo and a top hat when posing with such a dynamite array!
I've got two singlenecks. A ZB and a Sho~Bud.<font size="1" color="#8e236b"><p align="center">[This message was edited by Henry Nagle on 11 November 2006 at 09:27 AM.]</p></FONT>

I don't know what Nick does for a living, but I bet it isn't playing steel!

How many do I have? Not as many as Nick....

WOW...look at Nick!
Sweet collection, I think he likes the Emmons steels.
I have a bunch of stringed instruments, multiple 6 string guitars, but only one steel.
My grandmother used to say "You can't dance at 2 weddings with only one tuchas"
Ask Jimbeaux for a translation of tuchas. <font size="1" color="#8e236b"><p align="center">[This message was edited by Bo Borland on 11 November 2006 at 06:21 AM.]</p></FONT>

Well its been a while since I bragged on my MSA's, so here's the picture of three of them. I have a Superslide that's not shown. I also have a Williams, a Fessenden, and a '75 Emmons black lacquer P/P. As it has been already mentioned, there's no way I could afford all this if I played music full time. I have to have the day job designing ditch diggers.

Then theres the guitars, here's part of that collection:

Then there's the amps, and here's part of that collection.

Just one. If I showed up with another steel, I would be in the "Home For Unwed Fathers".

Unfortunately, my day job doesn't let me own that many toys. <font size="1" color="#8e236b"><p align="center">[This message was edited by Mike Ester on 11 November 2006 at 09:28 AM.]</p></FONT><font size="1" color="#8e236b"><p align="center">[This message was edited by Mike Ester on 11 November 2006 at 09:29 AM.]</p></FONT><font size="1" color="#8e236b"><p align="center">[This message was edited by Mike Ester on 11 November 2006 at 09:29 AM.]</p></FONT>

Hey Nick... How many of your guitars have the same knee lever arrangement? Not counting the Fender, of course.

Posted: 11 Nov 2006 10:07 am
by Nick Reed
Henry,
They all have the same knees with the standard (4), however the black S-10 & the rosewood D-10 both have an additional 5th verticak knee that lowers the b's on the E9th neck. Somebody asked, oh yes I do like Emmons guitars! Image

I have only one PSG, a Fender/Sho-Bud 3+1, but I have some parts and plan on building a few.

As far as the question posted;

Question: How many do any or us actually NEED?

Well, I have a good number of 6 string guitars, and I like having a selection to choose from for differant sounds but, I would gladly trade all but one good guitar for the chance to be playing everynight for a living again.
