Bye Bye Blues steel player hank Snow instrumental version

Does anyone know who the steel player is on Hank Snow’s instrumental version of Bye Bye Blues? Maybe Kayton Roberts?

I’ve been having fun learning this song for a while, but only today came across this version.

Very nice - thanks for sharing! I put it on my list of songs to learn. Could be Kayton but I don't hear his usual trademark licks like the doo-wah or low bass note.

Can't find the disc anywhere. Checked allmusic and discogs but no real info on that recording.

I believe Kayton started with Hank somewhere in the mid to late 60s and was with him til Hank passed.

I love Katyon's playing but I really don't know enough to offer an opinion whether he's on this recording or not.

Maybe Joe Talbot. He played for Hank long before Kayton in the early days. It's not Kayton that's for sure.

Joe Talbot - he and Bill Pruitt (my teacher) were good friends and as a result of that I got to hang around with those old guys (I was 10 or 12) - anyway that sounds to me more like Joe than Kayton. I am sure it is not Kayton.

I agree with everyone else thats definitely gotta be Joe Talbot. It sounds a lot like his smooth Hawaiian style like how the steel sounds in "I'm Movin On".
