Hook Moore
Just got word a little while ago that our Forum buddy and my "brother", Hook Moore, died of a heart attack this afternoon. I'm in shock. I've known Hook for many years and we have played lots of music together in the Charleston, W.Va area. He was a permanent fixture here on the Forum and was a very fine musician.
Thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
Rest in peace little brother. You will be missed.

So sorry….Hook was going to change a pick-up for me on an old Sho-Bud when I could get it to him...so sorry for Robert Shafer, Alan Morris and all the many very close friends of Hook, too many to name here...he was a very fine player and I'll never forget what a fine man and friend we've lost.
Russ
I just want to add that my thoughts of Hook go to the many thoughtful and interesting conversations we had over the years, many of them right here on the Forum, giving Russ grief of some sort, but always, always in the spirit of authentic Friendship and love. In fact, I believe that anyone who knew Hook had a "best friend' in him. This is shocking, unthinkably sad to hear.
Praying for his family, and eager to help in any way where anyone might know of need at this most difficult time.
Love you, Hook
Laney

Hook Moore
I was floored when I heard the news. I just bought a steel guitar off Hook last month...a Loyd Green Sho Bud. Hook was an amazing player and always willing to be of help. Great guy....he will be missed.

I'm very sad and surprised to hear of my old buddy's passing. My friends are leaving us at a surprising rate this past several months.
My rig: Infinity and Telonics.
Son, we live in a world with walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with steel guitars. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg?
