Does anyone have a 70's P/P D-10 wiring diagram for the neck and tone switch. I put a Wallace True tone pickup on my Emmons and decided just to rewire the whole switch because it had quit a bit of solder build up and looked sorta nasty so took every thing loose to redo it. I think I may have gotten something wrong. The C6th is fine but the True Tone on E9th is noisy and sounds like a single coil pickup. The Truetone may be a single coil, don't know. Any help would be appreciated.----Henry

I just aquired a 1976 D-10 push pull guitar with the wiring as above with dual coil wiring. The original coils seem to be wound in series. The two way switch (not the 3 way switch) merely doubles the coil resistance. The coils have two white wires and a shield. Without unsoldering wires, I would guess that the way 2 way switch on the guitar just selects single or dual coil in series. The pickups only have a single row of magnets. Am I right in saying that these pickup coils are not humbucking because of the single row of magnets and that the pickup is simply a tapped coil pickup?

Don, I'm pretty sure you're guitar has single coil pickups. Whether they're tapped or not, I don't know.

I'm in the midst of redoing my electronics, and a friend drew this schematic based on the pencil drawing. I figured I'd post it to this thread since it's been a pretty handy reference on wiring up the Emmons.
