Here's some practical uses for split tuning diminished single note riffs and chords. Note that the band does not need to play any diminished chords for these to work. There are other ways to play the single note riff but split tuning (or 1/2 A Pedal) on string 5 allows for a simple logical picking pattern just by staying on the same strings and moving the bar. Split tuning also allows you to convert the single string riff into chords or grips that can be used in passing.

Something looks off here; you have A and S on string sIx and B on string seven.
