Is CoVid-19 affecting sales??
how are you guys in different countries?
here our Chilean peso has devaluated aprox 20% vs US Dollar, difficult economic time for us.
Added to the Social crisis we are having since Oct-18-2019...
it feel like we're with the sh*t up to the neck.
Hope this Co-Vid and Social Crisis end fast or we will be in seroius trouble. |

I am starting to see people liquidate their steels because they have been laid off. I imagine that will get worse and prices will drop. |

this will be economically serious for a while. i play music for a living. ALL my gigs for at least the next 2 or 3 months have all cancelled. my friends who play...same thing. im sure there will be some bailout money, but for the next few months its going to be tough for musicians. |

I've already said 'No' to any long-distance gigs and, as I don't want one-nighters, that pretty much calls a halt to it all in my case.
I've got myself in a position where income from CDs and DSS/UK pension payments just about covers my outgoings - for now! Who knows where the bank rate will be when those CDs mature and need to be reinvested?
The British pound has plummeted ($1.16 last I looked) and that affects what I get over here from the UK state pension. It's not a pretty picture but as long as the human race survives then I imagine the bankers will find a way to climb to the top of the heap again. _________________ Roger Rettig: Emmons D10, B-bender Teles, Martins, and a Gibson Super 400!

Everyone is home with nothing to do, shopping on line. Hurry up and list your gear before they spend all their money on TP. _________________ Sustainability is unsustainable |

Well musicians have been affected for about 2 weeks now, not 6 months. Like everyone here, my gig schedule has been cancelled going forward , my last gig was a 9 days ago, not 4 or 5 weeks ago.
The next 10 to 14 days is going to be critical. Whether we are musicians, teachers, retail workers, restaurant workers etc, whatever, at some point , probably not to far down the road , the switch will be turned back ON. The assistance packages that are being discussed are for SHORT TERM , not indefinite, Short term. The switch will be turned ON.
Don't sell your gear. Practice instead.
Go after those phrases and arrangements that need work. IF you sell your gear, you can't practice ! _________________ Emmons L-II , Fender Telecasters, B-Benders , Eastman Mandolin ,

I've had two sales of my Franklin fall through because the buyers had to back out over layoff or losing jobs. One person was in Wisconsin and the other in Europe.
Thankfully I'm not selling because I need the $$, but because of downsizing and moving to a senior facility later this year. At 82, I hope I've got lots of time. |

Some steelers have more time to spend at their guitars.
My tab sales are up.
