I'm thinking about changing pick-ups on a guitar that I have,,,that has a 1-5/8" wide recess for the pick-up. I have a George L E-66 pick-up that I acquired somewhere,,but it would need at least a 2" space?,,,,does anyone make a narrower mount pick-up???

Many single-coils (Emmons, MSA, Marlen) might fill the bill. But if you want a humbucker, I don't know of any that would fit. They're traditionally larger, since they have about twice as much wire.
