New Clinesmith has arrived

Sounds as good as it looks. I saw a picture of the Dick McIntire frypan about the same time Todd introduced his A25 long scale frypan. This is the guitar Rickenbacher never made but should have, a 7 string A25. I have had MANY frypans and this is as good or better than any of them. Thank you Todd.

What a great looking guitar. What tuning are you using?

That finish is seductively gorgeous. Todd's horseshoe is my favorite steel pickup of all time. Congrats!

Lovely! I concur on the sound. The pickup is great but there's more to it definitely, the construction of course influences the sound...acoustically it is quieter and seemingly more "compressed" than other wooden lap steels I have and that comes through the pickup with tons of sustain. Love it. That may be normal with fry pans...I've never played an original. My playing doesn't warrant a guitar of this level but I'm happy to have it!

wow! I want to say Todd outdid himself, but I'm so used to being regularly blown away. That is incredible. You have great taste--those are some great options. I'm really impressed with the "fretwork" detailing. Enjoy that beauty!

Thank you. It is tuned to A6 using fairly heavy strings. It just arrived yesterday so I do not have a sound clip yet.

Thanks Harry, for the opportunity to build you this steel. It was a fun but challenging build.

That thing looks like a classy tuxedo with a chrome cumber bun..........I like the black better than the polished aluminum. Everything just pops on it......
