Hey Mike,
I too am really excited for this gig! In high school Ben Monder was my favorite guitar player and the fact that he was a guitar teacher at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston played a huge part in my decision to go there for college. I got to study with him for one year (2004-2005) because unfortunately he left after my first year. Needless to say, I’m really excited that you’ll be playing with him and definitely look forward to attending this gig.

I also got to see you play at Barbes this past weekend. It was a treat to hear you guys play. I was enjoyed the Strayhorn and Oliver Nelson tunes. The Sleepwalk / Naima was great, as was everything else.

As far as recording the gig, I’d be happy to do it for you if youre interested. I do a lot of location sound recording work these days, both for commercial and creative endeavors and have a lot of experience recording live performances. I have a really nice, high end portable setup for stereo ORTF recordings or could record in another stereo configuration if you prefer. I will email you more about this privately when I get home. It would be an honor. Either way, I look forward to hearing you guys play.

Take care,
Luke

Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, this gig has been postponed.
