My Time working the road with FARON YOUNG

Post by Ron Hogan »

The time I worked for Faron Young back in 1981, I never had any pictures or videos from that time working the road with him. Then, tonight HEE HAW had a rerun! Now it's like a time machine for me.

Working with Faron Young

Hey Ron, I saw that replay last night and enjoyed it. Your music was great! Just wondering was there a predetermined hat height designated as "acceptable" back in those days? Those are some of the tallest I can ever remember seeing! I bet you would have a hard time finding replacements for those in today's shops. Roger :D

Hi Roger,

Not sure about the hats. I just wore what was handed to me when I worked for Faron.

Great music by great musicians.

And great to see band members dressed like they belonged to the band,
rather than some fellahs found out by a dumpster.

Faron Young Days

I totally agree Ron! You guys looked sharp for that period in time. Come to think about it I believe I remember the "Hag" used to sport a hat which was very similar to those. And NOBODY could criticize the "Hag"! Great music from a great era in history! 😊
