I have heard many discussions on strings, stainless vs: nichol, and I just installed a set of Jagwire stainless and I noticed that the individual unwound string wrappers do not have the word stainless steel on them. The wound strings do. The outer wrapper does say stainless steel. So, I wonder if the unwound strings are the same, stainless or nichol?

I believe that all the strings cores are stainless. Then the windings are stainless or nickel.If this is true all plain strings are stainless. |

| Plain guitar strings are made from an alloy called "Swedish steel". The same material is used for the core of the the wound strings. |
