I always tell new players to force themself to where picks after awhile they will get used to it (majority is to players with picks) however on the other hand I don't see a problem with players not wearing shoes after all when it comes to your feet you lose your vision and thus you need to rely on your sense of touch, I play with a cheap pair of shoes that I love, any opinions? |

It's funny, when I was young, I used to always play in western boots all the time. Now I can't play in boots anymore. I have to wear loafers or slippers.

Well I just lowered my A pedal a bit & although it'll take awhile to get used to I find myself dancin on the B a little better. If I don't wear c'boy boots my feet are way too wide for this & I slop into that A pedal when I don't want too. That can really slow me down. I never had that problem with a more modern guitar but with this Sho-Bud Proffesional the pedals are closer (even with them shaved down). It's worth it though! I really can't imagine trying to play in bare feet or slippers. I might have a pair someone gave me with duck heads on them. Maybe I'll try that. |

I play in loafers, or slippers, as long as they have a rather firm sole. I tried stocing feet, does not work for me. never tried bare feet. it would seem to me that the metal would not be comfortabel against the bottom of one's foot. I set my foot behing the "B" pedal and use my heel to pivot. We all develope what works best for us, but it is interesting to hear how others manage.
