Do any of you guys play your lap steels using this amp, and what do you think of it?

I'm thinking this amp is worth a try. I listened to the video and it sounds good. I have not tried it personally but the amp gets good reviews.

This has been the only amp I've ever used. The amp sounds great for the price and its loud! If I were you I would go for the 40 watt version since its not that much more.

Do you have the 40 W Fred? It's for my bedroom and I have a wife, so I really don't need LOUD.

I have the 20 watt version but have tested the 40 watt. The 20 watt is still a pretty loud little amp but that shouldn't be a problem since the amp has a headphone input.

I've spent a little time testing Fender's solid state amps (Champ and Mustang) against Boss Katana's and Blackstar core:ID lines, they're all pretty good at emulating tube sound, except the crunch amp models tend to be noisy. I've also tried Peavey, Vox and marshall solid state amps, which I remember being pretty good as well

If you can, drag your steel and 6 stringer to a big store like guitarcenter or Sam Ash and try as many as you can.

I have the Champion 20 for a practice amp, and I've recommended it to two other people. For the throwaway price it's a great amp.
Low noise and good tones.
