Fred,
Since you are in communications with Bob Rains, I wonder if he remembers this guitar.
He built it for a Canadian steeler after he got next to Bob at the Dallas show. Bob was the only builder who would take on the project.
It was featured on his website at one time.
I bought it from the fellow in Canada.
It has a lacquered body by Giles and the front is inlaid with mother-of-pearl and the fret markers are also mother-of-pearl. It makes for a perfect gospel guitar.
So you see, I am not "Rainless", and I truly treasure it.

Erv you should sell this rains to me...man that is a beauty
Fred, when you talk to bob rains tell him to call me. I haven’t seen him in a long time. One of the best steel guitar buddy’s I’ve ever had. Super good dude.
Bob is a fantastic builder. He rebuilt a skh emmons for me once.
The guy knows how to make a guitar sound really good.
I miss Bob. Haven’t seen him in probably 15 years I guess.

Bill,
It would be hard to part with this one.
I remember when it was featured on the Rains web site.
I said to myself: "Boy, I sure would like to own that guitar" and shortly thereafter the owner listed it for sale on the Forum.
I forget what I had to give for it but since I play predominately gospel music, it was the guitar for me.
Fred Justice is in communication with Bob and I hope he asks Bob if he remembers this guitar. It has a cabinet by Mark Giles and it is outstanding!
