3 pedals, no knees? A friend of a friend just bought one of these.
Can knee levers be added?
Anybody hear of a Pierce steel?

I had this one months ago. Built by Ralph Pierce in Indiana. If this is the same that just sold on Reverb recently, It used to be mine 6 months ago. I got it from someone who rebuilt the mechanics. I worked hard to adjust them and got it playing well in a G tuning with a very odd copedent. I sold it months ago and it look like the buyer just sold it again.
Perhaps it is not the same one?
I really liked that guitar. The tone was just great. It was raise only. Tough to tune as it tune sort of like a reverse pull release.
If it is that guitar I think it would be difficult to have knee ever work well on there.
