non-pedal 6 string tabs

Post by Pam Patterson »

Can anyone, anywhere, tell me where I could get my hands on some tablature for 6 string NON-PEDAL C6 tuning? I have searched the web high and low. I cannot find much at all. I can find open E, E9, etc but not much in my tuning and not for non-pedal. In particular I am looking for Silver Wings but would love to have much more. Is there a book or anything out there I can purchase?

Pam,
If you go on Amazon and do a search for "Basic C6th non pedal lap steel method" it will bring up a publication written by Dewitt Scott and published by Mel Bay.
I think it would be worth while for you to check out. :D

Doug Beaumier (member) has three excellent tab books for C6, six string lap steel.

Pam, I recieved your mail. I'll send you some ... :)

And coincidence maybe, but it's good to see your name again Jack Gentle Jr!
Thanks to you and some of your little tabs I found a way to use this C6 tuning for a lot of songs!
A pity they all disappeared somehow.
A lot of starting people would be glad to use them, I suppose ...
