I ordered my second Carter guitar back on June 6th. I was advised at that time that, due to the high number of guitars on order, it could take up to 75 days before my guitar would be ready for shippment. Not a problem as the new guitar is going to be my "backup" instrument. Well, I got a UPS shippment notification E-mail yesterday that my new Carter will arrive at my home on July 12th. That's this Wednesday. A very pleasant surprise. The only thing I am bummed about is that I won't return home from the road until the 17th so I'll have to wait until then to see it. When I ordered my first instrument from Carter about 18 months ago, at that time the wait was about 60 days (if I recall correctly) but my guitar was shipped to me in a couple of weeks. So, I just wanted to post here and express what a great experience it has been to do business with the folks at Carter.

I found the staff at Carter to be very knowledgeable, professional, courteous and honest. I am also thrilled with my new Carter S10 5&5, which I received last April. It was perfect out of the box. My first new PSG.

I have received more compliments on my live tone than ever, since I switched to a Carter D-10 with George L's. It sounds huge with my Session 400. It zings....that's the only way I can describe it. Love the Carter. |

I ordered my Carter S-10 in Feb.2005 and I had almost a 3 month wait because orders were backing up on them and when Ann told me this it was no big deal on my part(I didn't have to wait one or two or three years) but I knew she felt bad about the wait,so...I think biz is good for Carter these days-they are first class all the way.

James,
Enjoyed your playing with Big & Rich on on the Imus show. You were loud and proud in the mix.

I have nothing but good things to say about the folks at Carter, and their guitars... well built, good sounding, stay-in-tune PSGs!

I placed my order for an SD-10 5 X 5 with the polished pedals and levers, premium edged neck, and XR-16 pickup, on 6-16. It arrived on 7-3 in perfect condition, just like the first one that they built for me.
The first Carter was a D-10 8 X 5, build time was about 30 days as I recall.

My experience was extremely positive....and I was buying my first ever steel from the other side of the ocean. I had never even seen a steel.
Now, a few years later, I realize that thanks to CarterĀ“s service (along with somne kind email help from JD Sauser and Reece Anderson) I got the guitar I needed.
If you wish to imagine the situation.....picture yourself trying to order a custom made sitar form India. i got lucky calling Carter first.
