Copedent Program

I use Karlis Abolins Guitar Map to analyze copedents,,,but I'm wondering if there is a program that approaches from the opposite direction,,i.e. after putting in the copedent, tell it what chord you want and it tells you which strings, pedals, levers to activate to get that chord? Using Windows 10.

Sonny, Guitar Map will do that for you. For example if you want to find all of the G major chords, do the following:
1. on the Note Layout tab, click Chords in the upper left hand corner, then select G in the name box and select Maj in the Type box.
2. in the lower right hand corner, click the Find all Combinations button.
3. in the drop down box in the upper right hand corner, click the drop down button and you will see a list of possible combinations. The order is fret, semi-colon, pedals to press, semi-colon, strings.
It is important to note that notes must be in the order as presented in the two columns on the right. If you want inversions, you will have to manually select the notes (5 1 3 - D G B for example)and then repeat the procedure.
Some of the possible combinations will not make sense because you would never use those combinations in real life but the program does not know that. It just looks for all of the combinations that satisfy the notes as listed.

Can I ask a question about Guitar Map installation here? Apologies if I shouldn't. When I try to install I get to a screen which is labeled "Guitar Map Installation Setup" and says to "click on this button to install...." but the only buttons are "change directory" or Exit setup neither of which get me any further.

Jim, I stopped supporting guitar map quite some time ago when Comcast stopped offering user web pages. Richard Sinkler took it over a while ago but it appears that he no longer supports it either.
The program got a little long in the tooth and I lost interest in trying to stay current in the world of software development. There have been other apps and spreadsheets offered here on the forum that can be used for the same purpose.
