This is one of my all time favorite steel instrumental videos. Junior's playing is beyond wonderful. If you have ever suffered through a divorce, this Mel Tillis Song will have special meaning.

One of my favorite players ever. I followed Jr Knight many years ago on a television show and he had a big impact on me playing steel guitar.

Absolutely wonderful. I’m not absolutely sure but I’d bet he’s playing more instruments than just steel on this one. Multi talented and a great guy on top of that.

Junior is my brother in Christ Jesus and has been my mentor and friend for 27+ years. I am so blessed knowing him and his family. A true Texas gentlemen and Legend.

It was the Cowboy Weaver Show. Junior played steel for Dewey Groom and the Longhorn Ballroom Band. I found a few years ago Dewey Groom was his father-in-law.

I absolutely agree! Junior Knight is a top shelf player and a great guy. I will always remember my first meeting as I walked into the ballroom of the Tulsa show. It was early load in time and he and Don Compston were the only ones there. Both guys made me feel at home and welcome.

Two days ago I ordered Junior's 50 years behind the steel guitar because I realized that was something that I needed to get familiar with...When I moved from New Yawk to Dallas in about 1973 I used to watch the "Cowboy Weaver "and his pals in the saddle every Sat morning not realizing that it was indeed Junior on steel guitar,How cool it will be to have him back playing in my life!

Junior is a great player and a great guy. I hold him in high regards for sure.

I met him in the 70s when he was the staff player in the great house band at Dewey Groom's, Longhorn Ballroom in Dallas. It was and is, always a pleasure to hear Junior play.

If Junior is playing all that on the guitar in the video he's better than I thought. Lol! Just kidding. I think Junior is one of the greatest there ever was not just on steel but a whole bunch of instruments. I even call him up to tell him so. Junior is pretty much a next door neighbor so we get together pretty often. Great guy!
