I picked up my SD-12PP from Jim Palenscar's shop last friday afternoon after he had finished doing a "set-up" on her for me and all I can say is "WOW"!!! It played ok when I first got it last month, but it plays and feels like a dream now.
I went straight from Jim's shop to McCabes there in Oceanside and as luck would have it, I was asked to sit in on Steel as Rick Schmidt was moving over to cover for the Bass player who was under the weather. So, I got to play 4 sets of "real country music" on my SD-12PP through my Nashville 112. I'll just say that it was so much fun that I don't think I stopped grinnin like a chesire cat the whole 2hr drive home to Santa Susana.
So if you want a first class set up done on your PP, Jim Palenscar is "the guy" here on the West coast IMHO.

Hey Jimmy, I'm glad you had a great time. I wish I could have gone with you. Guess I'll be hearing that PP soon. J. W.

Thanks Jim. When you have guys like Bobbe and JayDee Maness freely giving of their time to help me understand these things, it makes life so much easier. I owe these guys big time and absolutely love working on them.
