I am new to pedal steel and don't know much about them yet, I have found a used 3-4 Dekley. Was this a good guitar? What type of questions should i ask the owner? There is no model number in the ad.

Thanks, Doug

Dekleys are good units, well built and sturdy. Bad thing, is they have been out of business, for a while. You may be able to get some parts, though, if you are mechanically inclined. Send some pics. I have 2 Dekleys.
Does it stay in tune? Ask if it is a student model. Student models usually DO NOT have a 3p/4k setup, but if it is, it is limited as to expansion. However, 3 pedals/4 knee levers are a good deal to start with and would keep you busy for some time.........Pat.
