I have an old Sho-Bud volume pedal and there are two jacks located on the right side of the pedal. Can anyone tell me which is input and which is output?
Thanks,
Wally

If you plug the guitar in the rear jack,& the amp in the front jack,it will give you a "bassier" tone. I,also, have an "old" Sho~Bud vol. pedal that I had rigged-up w/ a "polarity" switch on it,that would "electronically" reverse the plugs. I took it out awhile back, but I think I'm gonna put it back in. It makes for some interesting sounds.

I feel a little sheepish for not discovering this before but thanks for the tip! I had been wondering why I had to use so little bass EQ on my amp... sure enough when I swapped the leads round on my Sho-Bud pedal the sound became a lot brighter and a good deal less muddy. I hear more 'pick attack' now so I might look into some different picks to see what difference they make.

I can see how a switch would be useful, both sounds have their merits.
