A number of years ago I had a volumn pedal, I don't remember the name, but it may have been a Fender, I used it whan I had my Fender D8. When I sold that guitar, I sold the whole set up Pedal, and Amp as well. The pedal was a gear up and down for volume and side to side for tone. I have looked for one like it to attach to my MSA. Now whether it will work I do not know, because the Fender had a tone knob as well as a Volumn know, where as the PS has neither. Any Suggestions?

Wayne,
This would probably get more responses over in Electronics, but I'll get you started:
I can confirm it probably was a Fender (I got mine used at a guitar show). It would definitely work with your PS. If you find one, check it out in person or with the ability to return it - they are old now and some need work! Also, even if the pedal is in good shape, you would want to see how it matched up with your pickups.
I am new to steel (only a couple of years experience), but I get the idea that players today use a volume pedal and (possibly) a separate tone device. See John Bechtel's Boo Wah post in the Amps/Accessories For Sale section.

If it was a brown looking pedal, it could have been a DeArmond pedal. |

Bruce Thanks for the information about the tone box. I know they use, I think they referr to it an a " delay box" that attaches to the right leg of the guitar, I'm not even sure about that, it may be something else, but I have seen a little box on the right leg of some PSG'S.
Ernie, I'll check out the web sight.
James you are right it was a DeArmond, I remembered that after I Posted my emquiry. At the present I am using a DOD VCC1, But it seems a little stiff, not a smooth action.
