I purchased this guitar around 1975. I'm a bass player so it has not been played since then. The neck could not be any straighter. Plays great! I'm 75 years old and getting rid of my old antiques. Also I have no idea what a fair price would be.
There is no serial # on it that I can find. The reason I purchased it was because the guy I bought it from had to tune it between every song. When I got it I put on a new set of good tuneing keys {problem solved}
Any info or offers would be appreciably. I can be reached at 954-393-5001. But please be warned, I'm little hard of hearing. Also I do not check my e-mail every day.
Gretsch solid body-do not know the year-I think 1955 or so ?

Indeed its an early "slab body"Corvette.. this was a "student grade" electric guitar in much the same way the Melody maker was for Gibson. They are not especially valuable or highly sought after even when in good original condition.. However, it is almost 60 years old, so it has some value of course, and you might get $400-500 or so out of it.... It is not a 1955, its no earlier than 1961.. bob
I'm over the hill and hittin'rocks on the way down!
