I got one recently, but haven't had time to play with it much. I did find you have to be really accurate with your timing (I used a metronome when I fed it the chords, and made them as simple as possible). But it did produce an acceptable backing track for the song I did with it (Cold Cold Heart).

I have the trio , not the Plus , Its fair for practicing riffs as long as you can put your rhythm where you want it.

I really havent found much of a usable variety for country though.

I'm getting the control pedal for the trio. So that I can not put the trio on the floor to push the buttons to record.

Jerry, +1 on the footswitch, makes things much easier, (at least on my Trio).

Get the footswitch, makes things easier. I love my Trio Plus. You can store your tracks, and recall them later. I like to lay down a guitar track, and layer it. You can put down 5 layers to a track. You can hook up effects to it, and headphones. I find mine invaluable for practice. You can practice in the keys you choose to use. It's so easy......even a caveman can use it.
