Am looking for a low cost 1x12 and saw this on a forum. Anybody tried one? I like that it's angled up a bit. But looks a bit deep at 14".

Never used one myself.

Saw Steve Lukather use one but a different model at a live concert, in fact he used to endorse them looking for subsonic speaker response.

These are well made speakers and should give a clean sound for a portable guitar rig.

Only handles 75 watts though so it would depend on what you run through it.

It's a Celestion G75T in there so do you like Celestions?

Then you would need to find a speaker that matches the size of the cabinet's volume and be suitable for a ported enclosure, have similar Vas and other speaker specs.

The G112 was designed around the Celestion that's in it and makes that speaker sound proper.

Basically Thiele-Small parameters would need to be calculated for swapping out the Celestion.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thiele/Small_parameters#Fundamental_parameters

You could try and get the cab and swap what you want but it would be experimental, at best if one does not research a specific speaker, necessitating getting several speakers in there, if the first swap does not cut it, to see what sounds good to you.

You would need to find a speaker that closely resembles the specs of the Celestion G75T to be closer to the mark.

Or ask ISP if they have another speaker they think would work in there, and/or if your speaker choice in mind would make the cabinet behave well enough to justify the effort and expense.

Celestion has their own views on using Thiele-Small parameters for designing guitar cabinets. Interesting reading for those so inclined:

I bought one of these and it sounds pretty good. For the price you can replace the speaker with one of your choice and still be money ahead. Mine has no rattles at loud volume and appears to be well built.
