Are there any on-line companies out there, besides www.juststrings.com that sell an 8 string C6th set with a high G.
I'd like to find a set that goes A-C-E-G-A-C-E-G like Cindy Cashdollar uses on her Homespun Tapes Western Swing courses.
JustStrings has an 8 string set from SIT that goes
G-A-C-E-G-A-C-E low to high. I could always throw out the 0.054 low G and put purchase a high G separately, but it seems sort of wasteful.
thanks

Ed, Look for the John Pearse 8-string C6 set at juststrings.com. |

Our own forum store sells an eight string E13 set with a high G#. This is compatible with the C6 tuning you mentioned, especially if you have a longer scale instrument. String gauge and feel is personal of course so it may be you prefer a heavier set for your situation, but I just wanted to make you aware of what the forum has to offer.

E .015

I use LaBella strings, C6. They are heavier than the C6 10 string sets. _________________ MSA Classic 12 string Universal, Remington Steelmaster D8, National D8 Console x 2, George Boards Lap Steel, National New Yorker. |
