Greetings all,
I just ran across a tag that was attached either to my new Dual Pro Double Six steel or my new Vibroloux amp when I purchased them in the middle 50s. But I don't remember what the tag was attached to.Enclosed are pictures of the tag.
I'm hoping that by the numbers,-someone can tell if it came off my guitar or my amp. Thanks.

See if the serial number on the tag matches the AMP.
That should narrow it down pretty quickly- good luck. |

Thanks, Barney. I didn't even think of my amp having a serial number. I haven't checked it yet. Maybe the tag was on the case????

Are you sure that's an old tag? The reason I ask is because that particular Fender part number is for a 2007 (black metallic) Fender Squier bass guitar. |

No, Donny,-I'm not 100% sure where it came from. I haven't seen it for a long time and just assumed it came from my
old guitar or amp. I never had a bass. It might have come from my son's Fender bass though. I don't have a clue. I just thought if it came from one of my items,- I would tie it on when I get ready to sell. Just a thought. Thanks for your reply.

The logo on the tag is from the 60's or later. _________________ Michael Brebes

The serial # prefix IC is designation for Indonesia as country of origin. That would indicate much more recent within the last 2 decades. FI, I have a Squier that reads IC0508XXXX... so it's an Indonesian build from 2005. |

As has been stated, that is not anything from a 1950s Fender. I don't even believe they started using the ® mark until the 70s. And I agree with Donny and Jerry - it looks pretty recent, but I don't concern myself much with the details of cheap recent Fender/Squire stuff. |

Thanks to everyone for the info. I'm convinced the tag didn't come from my guitar or amp. This is the guitar I bought in the 50s.[img]

Mahalo everyone. Maybe I'll never know where the tag came from. |

Beautiful guitar and case Wally. That thing looks mint!
And you're the original owner. Do you still have the Vibrolux too? |

Yes, Jerry. The guitar is 99.9% mint and I also still have the amp. My kid lost the original amp cover and the original cord.. All purchased brand new.[img]

.
Ron, I haven't been able to use my left arm and hand since
the early 80s,- hence,-no steel playing.
