I just wanted to openly say THANK YOU to Bruce Zumsteg for taking care of my guitar and getting it back to me so quickly.
I got my ZumSteel in July and love it so much, But, it had been neglected and mistreated for many years and it developed some problems that Randy Beavers or myself couldn't correct so Bruce called and said "Send it to me" So I did last Monday and I got it back yesterday. He replaced the changers, and cleaned the underneath up good and rebuilt the pickups[Fed-X dropped it and busted them]. The guitar never played or sounded so good. Thanks again Bruce for going the distance with me.
If anyone is thinking a new or used guitar don't hessitate to check out a Zum. They are great guitars and the customer support is second to none.

Wow Mike,
That goes to show what a solid guitar Bruce is building. From the pic's on your web-site I thought it was a New guitar. Bruce is First Class all the way. |

Steve, lots of us know that Bruce is A-1 in everything he does. I know Mike is appreciative as are all of us who have had any dealings with Bruce. BTW, you want to hear a steel guitar played to it's max, catch Bruce when he's on top and you'll find none better IMHO.

Another thing I forgot to mention.. I called Bruce when he was tuning my guitar getting it ready to ship and he played some stuff for me over the phone.. MAN ! What a player he is..I think Bruce should cut a c.d. of his own.
Thanks again Bruce. |

I'll buy a copy! I went into the main hall in St. Louis early one morning to get some of the recording gear ready. There was some of the most beautiful stuff you would ever want to hear coming from from one side of the room. I looked over, and there was Bruce at his booth playing a guitar he had brought to sell. It's really a comforting thought to know that the man knows BOTH sides of the guitar. When he builds it and checks it out, it has been checked out! |

I'm a big fan of Bruce and his guitars, so this is in no way a slam. I contacted Bruce about a year ago about getting my 84 Zum adjusted and tweaked. He was very helpful, stayed on the phone quite a while and sent me the original setup for my guitar and some good advice on cleaning and adjusting it. But he said that he did not have time to do any service on steels and did not know who to recommend to do it. He is so rushed, building and filling all the orders, that he just can't work on your guitar I guess for top players like Mike there are exceptions. By the way, my Zum is 24 years old and still looks and plays like new.
