Any pedal steel guitarists in Norway?

Hi. I live in Scotland and have just been offered an opportunity to play a festival in Oslo, Norway on 25th January 2019.

I currently play an old Dekley D12 with Jimmy Day co-pedent. My steel is too heavy to fly with and I, therefore, need to try to source one (an S12 or S10 in Day setup is absolutely fine for what I need) for this show in Oslo. I don't need the C6 neck for the gig I'm doing. Just an E9.

Is there anyone out there in Norway who might be able to either point nme in the direction of someone who might have a Day set-up E9 (10-string is fine too!) or a place where I night be able to hire one over there?

I had to do something similar in Gettysburg USA a few years back and posted on this forum and I found an amazingly generous chap called Don Poland who helped me out. I'm forever in his debt.

Thanks

Iain x

Look up Dag Wolf or Egil Skjelnes. Both are members of this Forum and live in Norway.

I have known Iain for a few years and would not hesitate to lend him my equipment again, if the need arises. He took great care of my equipment and is an upstanding guy.

Iain, I hope you find someone to help you out. Hopefully we will meet again at Rosfest in the future! Looking forward to it.

I live just outside Oslo. I don't know of any Day setup players in Norway. I have 3 D-10's, but Emmons setup.

Thank you Tore. I may get in touch with you nearer the time. I have played Emmons setup before and managed to borrow an Emmons from friends in Scotland in order to doa little practice before flying out to the gigs (Spain and Canada). I might be in touch xx

Thanks Don. You are a star. Sadly, Rosfest is no longer being held in Gettysburg. Pity. And you saved my life that weekend! Thanks so much. And love to Anita too x

Let me know if I can help. I will probably play the same festival on Saturday.
