Here is a video featuring Dan Dugmore and his "Blue Bayou" Sho-Bud.. from the steel album "Renascence"... "Old Friends/Lenny".. Dan has such a gentle, peaceful vibe. Thank you Dan, and your horses are beautiful..🎶☮️

That was too cool, Mike. You sounded great on the weissenborn, as you always do!

The world needs more weissenborn with pedal steel accompaniment. Even better if it's Mike and Dan behind the bar.

Thank you all for the kind words. And for the gear gurus, not only did Dan use his 1973 Sho-Bud, the Blue Bayou guitar for this recording, we also recorded it through his early 70's Fender Twin with a 15" JBL.. Wonderful...

Mike,

Great song and video, so well filmed, I'm assuming you used a drone to do the overheads.

So cool about Dan's Blue Bayou Sho-bud, I own a single neck red Sho-bud that I bought from him about 20 years ago.
Regards, Craig

I think a reverse delay or reverb on the steel right? Beautiful.

Jay... Not a reverse delay, but a delay set to a quarter note with only one or two repeats and the delay mix being almost equal to the dry mix...A little reverb from the Twin...Dan had it all set and we just hit record. We did not touch the tone in the mixing of the song...Dan is a steel guitar treasure....

Thanks Dan. It's beautiful playing on both parts. I'm new to all this but one of the things I struggle with is hearing what's going on. PSG tends to be hidden often, though not here. I think his use of the volume pedal is fooling me into thinking it's a backwards delay.
