Hi everybody,

Does anyone know if Greg Leisz is coming over to Europe with a group or singer this fall?

Who is he currently touring with?

Thanks

Bart

Greg is currently touring with Jackson Browne. We have another thread going right now on this very topic. He is also touring with Charles Lloyd & the Marvels which includes among others, Bill Frisell and Lucinda Williams. Greg has worked as Lucinda's producer on some albums.

I checked both Browne and Lloyd websites, don't see any European shows coming up.

I don't know of anything else Greg has going on in terms of touring because he doesn't have a web page.

I saw him with Jackson as a duo in October 2016 at the huge Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival in San Francisco - one of the highlights of the festival for me that year.

Jackson and Greg are coming back to the area to do a benefit show in mid October at The Sweetwater Music Hall in Mill Valley, just over the Golden Gate Bridge from SF. One of the venue's owners is Bob Weir, a longtime Mill Valley resident. The show is a benefit for a foundation named after the late bassist Rob Wasserman who was associated with among others, Weir, Jerry Garcia and Bill Frisell.

I would like to be able to attend but the tickets are way too rich for my blood and it's sold out at this point anyway. It's a small place, I don't think you can fit more than 100 people in there. The original location up the street was even smaller, maybe a capacity of 75 people.

Here is a link to the other thread:

Jim, I wanted to see them at a small venue in nearby Healdsburg in June but the tickets were pretty steep for that show as well, and my entertainment budget was already shot for the month.

The moral of the story Bart is that to move to the USA and want to attend cool concerts you will need some deep pockets, and that particularly applies in a few states - California being one of them. 😀

Hey Jim, remember me? I bought a SB pro 1 in 2016 when I visited your shop while on tour in California..

Hope all's well, take care!!
