There are many tuner apps available for ipad and android tablets/phones from the place you get your apps. On Android, it's the Play store.
I have never seen or heard of a program that works on a computer. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112,Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open D slide guitar) . Playing for 55 years and still counting. |

I don't think the Peterson is what he is looking for. It is a "VST/AU" which means its used inside a recording program such as Sonar, ProTools, etc. Not a native "Windows" program. |

Jack,
StroboSoft from Peterson is also standalone on Win10. i believe it has been since it's inception. You can "share" sweeteners from the hardware models and it comes with some of the same presets. You should work with it a bit and calibrate it before trusting it though.

From my win10 machine with no DAW running...
One issue with the VST/AU is that it is still 32bit only. They say they are working on 64 bit.

PS. Jack, their Web Site is a bit misleading.
BTW. An Android app ... There must be more.

I didn't see anything about standalone, just the VST/AU compatibility, the reason for my comment.
I have the Strobe version on my iPhone (I have an iPhone 8 Plus) but sadly its not accurate. One time it can show a string at one setting and try it again and its another. I worked with Peterson software people a couple years ago (I had an iPhone 6 at the time) and tried different options that they suggested but none helped. They wanted samples and I sent them to them but sadly that was the last I heard from them. But my Peterson StoboPlusHD is right on. |
