Hello every one

My question is not if i need a sustainer with a hilton vol. pedal..
i like the having the tone knob and extra vol. right there by my hand....
The question is is this touchy-ness in the tone control normal.. i asked hilton a few days ago and haven't heard anything..
would some one who owns one please comment.
