They built them, that's for sure. In 1978 I ordered and received an S-12 p/p with 6+5. I'm sure that 4 knee levers was a common request by then. They were building guitars to order, and I think they were also selling pedal and knee lever kits. |

Mine is a 1971-72 model; push/pull; 8 down and 4 up........standard set-up; no changes ever made to it. Mine is blue/green enamel with metal necks; that's why it sounds better than the black Mica. |

I had a 71 D-10 PP (S/N 1464D) and it had 8 and 4 from the factory. It was the "superior" sounding Black mica.

WELL FOR WHAT IT IS WORTH, I HAVE A BLACK EMMONS D-10-10-10 P/P THAT I BAUGHT FROM THE MAN THAT PUT IT TOGEATHER, RON LASHLEY, OWNER AND CHIEF ENGINEER OF EMMONS GUITARS..AND ITS SOUND IS FAR BETTER THAN SUPERIOR.......UH-HU,,, IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE ME, JUST ASK ME..............JENNINGS,,U PK;;;;;;;;;;;;;

My '81 D-10 p/p was originally 10 and 7. One of the previous owners removed two pedals and two knees.
I've got most of the parts to put it back the way God meant for it to be. One day soon.....

I have a 1976 rosewodd D-10 with 10 & 5
I believe the vertical was not installed at the factory. |

I forgot to add this. If you look at the underside of the old p/p guitars a lot of them were drilled at the factory for ten pedal cross shafts.
