I could listen to his material all day, that deep tone of that steel guitar is the sound I like. just wondering who it is and maybe what kind of equipment they are using. |

Ricky,
Thanks my friend Yea I kind of thought there was more than one. I listen to hanks place all the time they play tons of his material. and to tell you the truth all the steel is good. only thing I ever had that was close to that tone was a 83 sho-bud. but at that time I was using a webb amp as well. and by the way ricky was that you playing steel for oh I cant think of her name, but the song was today I started loving you again. if you ever pass thur West Virginia slow down a bid and enjoy it.Joe |

Which Justin Trevino features the most steel ? Are they all 100% pure Texas Honky-Tonk? He really knocks me out, I think I gotta get me some. I`ve only seen him twice. Once with Junior Brown, and at the Dallas show. WOW!! |

I'll try to help. I play most of Justin's live dates but have not recorded with him. Dickie Overby has been on the past two or three CDs and is who Justin uses on most projects that he produces.

I don't currently have any of JT's CD's but next time I go to Wal-Mart I'll take care of that since he's got steel on most of his stuff. No problem. |

Also , unless he has changed guitars, Dicky is playing A Emmons p/p. Hence the great sound.. [This message was edited by Willis Vanderberg on 04 January 2006 at 07:55 PM.] |

Justin is wonderful...........I have them all....Dicky Overbey is all over them and so is Bobby Flores' fiddle. If you want some other wonderful CD's.....try Bobby Flores or/and Amber Digby. Dicky's steel, Bobby's fiddle, Bobby, Justin, Amber singing.....x2c!! Did I mention Jake Hooker also? What a group. |
