O.K. -- this is pretty trivial. This was born out of my curiosity -- I've been trying to compile an alphabet of steel manufacturers/builders.
I've come up blank on the following initials:-
H : I : N : O : Q : T : U : V -- and I don't suppose anyone from Xanadu or the Yukon has ever built a steel ? !
Anyone help with these initials ?

Also, Jagiella, and WBS from Germany; Devis from Holland, and Linkon and MK from Canada.
I expect there is still another one or two to crawl out of the woodwork (steelwork ?)
Richard :- is Ormston "related" to Denley - or am I thinking of something else ?

: "Teisco."

How about "Guyatone" and "Rickenbacher" ?

My Ormston was made by the Burns London Guitar Company for Denley.

Jim Burns' middle name was Ormston

Gee, I can't beleive we have forgotten the great Marlen Pedal Steel Guitars, lots of those still around & still sounding great!!

I own the one pedal steel made by the late great John Zeidler, well known luthier who was invited into the Scott Chinery "blue guitar" circle. It's an S12, 5+4 with a beautiful birdseye maple cabinet, Emmons pickup, and sounds incredible.

So there's another Z for the completist.

You forgot Smith - as in Chas Smith. He built Joaquin Murphey's last guitar. It's a 6 pedal 9-string.There's a picture of it in the CD insert on the "Murph" CD. Chas has built a number of other incredible and unique steels as well.
