I have the opportunity to buy yet another amp, one that I have wanted to try for some time..
However its original speaker has been traded out for a Century neo, an early one and not a "vintage" version that came later. Its a pretty high efficiency speaker which I generally do not love.
I will not be able to demo that speaker with steel guitar.
I have read the Century sounds close to a jbl k120 but I can hardly believe it given the cone differences.
Any experience on this one? |

I have that exact one in one of my Fender amps. I don't think it sounds anything like the K-series. To my ears, it's closer to the old D120F - clear, airy, and not a lot of bass. |

Hi Donny,
Thanks for yoyr feedback. Sounds like the right kind of speaker for some of my regular six string needs.
I like the d120f. |
