I have the E9th tab for Danny Boy.
Only it's called "He Looked Beyond My Fault".
The melody is "Danny Boy" but Dottie Rambo but Christian lyrics to it.
My tab is loosely based around Buddy Emmons version.

In case no one has mentioned these.

Herb Steiner's C6 version

Jeff Newman's version from his "Music to Steel By? E9

Both of these are extraordinary. I have to give the nod to C6 version, though it is not as easy as Newman's.

Tom Bradshaw posted a Curly Chalker version a few years back. Exactly as the record "Counterpoint". Curly's stuff isn't easy to duplicate, tho. Of course it was C6th, too! It may still be available here on the forum somewhere?

If anyone still has this tab, Emmon's or Chalker version, I would love to have a copy.

Emmons E9 version is in Scotty's Anthology of Pedal Steel Guitar booklet/course and it's a pretty authentic tab. IIRC it's in the key of F. It's under the title of London Derriere.

I have the song tabbed out in the key of C for the E9th tuning.
I borrowed some from Buddy Emmons when I did it.
The lyrics are different though.
Dottie Rambo took the melody and put Christian lyrics to it and called it; "He Looked Beyond My Fault".
The melody goes back a long ways.
It was originally called "Londonderry Air" and then "Danny Boy".
