My new Rains guitar has arrived and I played my first gig on Sunday with it and boy is it a great guitar. Bob did just a great job on this guitar and he is one of the finest people to deal with. He made this guitar just the way I had asked for it.
This is a one of guitar with wood necks and doves inlayed for fret markers and it is just beautiful. I will have some one post some pictures on here for me. Hey Fred do you think you could do that for me????

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THAT'S gonna turn some heads, players & builders too.
I'm one of those bubbaheads that doesn't like any script or any decoration on the keyhead side or middle of the apron. The builder's name changer side is good enough. Having said that, your guitar has to be the most TASTEFUL use of ornamentation I've ever seen. Those doves look great on there & not the least bit gawdy. Obviously Bob & Gary did you up RIGHT.
What kind of George L's, Charlie?
That's a keeper, IMO. Hope you enjoy your new Rains for many years to come.

WOW, that is one beautiful guitar, and these guitars are so well built, with tone and sustain that match. Bob and Gary has out done themselves on this one.
I am realy curious what kind of pickup it has for the wooden necks, and the tone.
Keep us informed on this one Charlie!

Roger I think Bob put 10-1 pickups in it. I let him pick the pickups and he did a great job as it sounds just great and it was the sound I wanted. That Bob sure knows what he is doing. I can not think of one thing to change. HAPPY AS CAN BE.

Just so that you all know the colour and the layout for the Doves was not exactly all my idea, infact it was my lovely wife who came up with it. She also then said I could buy one if I sold one of my other guitars so I guess you all can figure out what happened. Do I miss the other guitar.......NOT

Charlie, that is one beautiful guitar, I live only a few miles from Rains, man I wish had stopped in and seen that beauty up close and personal. I own one of the first guitars he made and still love it as much as I did the day I brought it home. They make a fine guitar, and pretty dang good coffee too.

John I will try to take a pic or two of the underside. I will tell you this Bob polished every part under that thing for me and it looks as good as the top side.

Finally somebody put a tastefully SMALL inlaid brand on the front apron that doesn't scream at you.If you've seen other modern steel logos, including Rains, you know what I mean.I want one bad but I'd hate to think what all that good taste costs. Absolutely gorgeous.
